Sixto Fishing Charters is located in Big Pine Key and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters. Its trips depart out of the crew’s private dock.
This crew will do its best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Tarpon, Snapper, Dolphin, King Mackerel, Wahoo, and Cero Mackerel, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, fly fishing, big game fishing, drift fishing, jigging, kite fishing, popping, spearfishing and spinning.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 29′ Sportcraft Sportfish 290 boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. It’s powered by a 450 HP Peninsular diesel engine and equipped with navigation electronics, including dual Simrad GPS, a sonar with CMOR mapping, and a radio. The boat also comes with a toilet, spearfishing gear, snorkeling gear, outriggers, 3 ice-boxes, Avet, Daiwa, and Penn fishing gear are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing.
Great time with an excellent captain!
This was a 10 out of 10 experience for our two families. We were booked for Sunday June 3rd and as the tropical storm was moving in, the Captain (Felipe) called us a week in advance and started talking about options. He was great! He understood what we wanted and promised to work with us in our trip. We had two families going 6 people (2 dads, 2 young men, and two teenage girls) no experience. Felipe called every other day as the storm moved toward the keys. Finally, he called on the Friday prior and told us he would schedule a backup date so we could go no matter what! How great was that? On Saturday we talked and agreed to go on the following Friday. He offered to bring us HIS fish so we could cook it during our visit! He called on Monday and Wednesday to see if we were having fun and if we needed any recommendations. WOW! The on Friday he was ready for us – friendly outgoing and ready to put us on fish. “Whatever” we wanted! We fishe off a reef and caught probably 30 to 35 yellow snapper of which we kept only the larger ones. Then he said “what would you like to do?” My son,20 years old and his friend had been watching videos of catching Mahi-mahi, so we said “catch a mahi “. Felipe said let’s go! We went out even further and caught a mahi-mahi before coming in. All of our group caught fish, had a great time, and really enjoyed our trip. Felipe cleaned and bagged the fish and then gave us tips on how to cook them. One of the best times we had in the Keys and we would HIGHLY recommend Felipe!
Half day trip with Captain Colton
Our trip was great. We didn’t have to go very far out. We were looking for Snapper. Our first and only stop was great. The minute our bait was in the water we started catching Lanes. We had a couple of breaks in the bite, but we caught a lot of fish, had a great time.

A great trip in March with Sixto Fishing Charters. Filippe and his first mate Nick were outstanding. Very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. One of the highlights of my wife and I vacation. Well worth it and would highly recommend them.
